The best steak sandwich! Omg to die for I wasn't expecting this to be so delicious! I will definitely come back just for this sandwich when I come back from California
Hands down and forks up the best diner in New Haven. I could eat here every day and not get tired of it. Basic, homestyle, soulful cooking the way you want it. Good coffee too.
On A Sunday morning visit Cody's did what they do right. The western omelette was chock full of ham , peppers and cheese done soft as ordered. We asked for the hash browns to be well done and they were perfect! My breakfast sandwich with crisp bacon on an English muffin was just right. The service attentive and friendly. This is not a fancy cafe but good down home diner. If that is what you want, Cody's fits the bill.
Went to Cody's dinner Friday morning before work. My second time asking the cook can he make my orders with fresh bacon. He say it's fresh with a attitude. Nobody want no pre cooked bacon when you can have fresh bacon. The Mexican cook is very rude and talk a lot b.s I'm sure the owners wouldn't want money leaving going else where. Because of a rude lazy cook.
Very good breakfast. Nice classic diner feel. Very clean! French toast and bacon were cooked perfectly. Hubby's eggs were over easy and the ham steak took up the whole plate! Very good friendly service. Would recommend this for a good quick breakfast in New Haven.
